Marathon & Activities at GAA Grounds

A shuttle bus will be provided from Glenbeigh GAA (V93 CD50) field (the finish line) so Marathon runners can park here and will be transported to the start line at Climbers Inn Glencar. Bus departs Glenbeigh GAA pitch at approx 08:05AM. 25 spaces on bus and booking required (details will be shared in logistics email one week out).

6 hour time limit on full marathon - 8am early start for those who require additional time.

A shuttle bus service will operate for the 10km race also from Glenbeigh GAA pitch to the 10k start line.

The event is a fundraiser to support the Glenbeigh Glencar GAA Club & Star of the Laune AC to allow them improve & develop their facilities for members.

The course is exciting and challenging, and boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. Make Glenbeigh your destination weekend in July! The Marathon commences in Glencar and loops around the mountains of Glenbeigh with the finish line located at Glenbeigh Glencar GAA pitch.

The Half Marathon/10km/5km is equally as challenging and enjoyable. 10k and 5km are open to walkers too its a fully inclusive event!

Each participant receives a medal with t shirt an optional purchase.

Cash prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd in the Full Marathon & Half Marathon!

Race number and jersey pick up from Glenbeigh GAA pitch (V93 CD50) as follows:

• Friday 11th July 07:30pm - 09:00pm

• On the day from 07:00am
